Official Rules for V6B’s $1500 Design Package Giveaway

No purchase required to enter or win. This giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Please read the official rules before entering the $1500 V6B Design Package Giveaway. Please do not enter this giveaway if you are not a resident of British Columbia, Canada.

Giveaway Period

V6B Design Group’s $1500 Design Package Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) begins September 27, 2012 and ends January 1, 2013 at 8:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (the “Giveaway Period”). By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the rules of the Giveaway.

Eligibility

To participate in the Giveaway you must be a resident of British Columbia, Canada and be nineteen (19) years of age or older. You are not eligible if, during the Entry Period, you are an employee, representative, or agent of the Sponsor, or if you are an immediate relative (spouse, parent, sibling, child) or household member (whether related or not) of such employee, representative or agent. Proof of identity and eligibility must be provided to the Sponsor if requested. The Sponsor will determine the winner’s eligibility in its sole discretion.

Agreement to Official Rules

By participating in the Giveaway you are giving your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

By entering, participants agree that the Sponsor and its clients shall not bear any liability for, and entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor from any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting from participation. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right to change the Official Rules at any time.

How to Enter

To participate in the Giveaway, entrants must visit V6B Giveaway Page at any time during the Giveaway Period and complete and submit an online entry form before 8:00PM PST on January 1, 2013. A limit of one (1) entry per person is allowed. Multiple entries or the use of any automated software to submit entries will void all entries submitted by that entrant.

Entry Deadline

All entries must be received through the V6B Giveaway Page by 8:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on January 1, 2013.

The Prize

There is one (1) grand prize available to be won. The winner will have access to one of the most complete design studios/showrooms in the industry and will gain valuable insight by spending one-on-one time with V6B’s experienced, award winning design professionals.

If you are an industry professional, you will get $1500 worth of professional design services from V6B, for yourself or for one of your client’s projects.

If you are a homeowner, you will get a V6B Design Package valued at over $1500, which includes:

  • A custom design concept based on one room or space [1]
  • Two [3-hour] sessions with a senior V6B designer to complete the “Needs Analysis” and  “Conceptual Design” phases (see details below), to be scheduled between January 7, 2013 and April 30, 2013 [2]
  • In-studio access to V6B’s extensive materials samples library
  • Exclusive access to the online V6B Design Resource Gallery [3]

Phase 1 – Needs Analysis (Meeting #1)

  • In-depth discussion of room or space parameters
  • In-depth discussion of custom requirements & preferences
  • Assisted review of the V6B Space Planning Guide to gather technical, functional, and design information
  • Tour of the V6B Studio/Showroom & material samples library

Phase 2 – Conceptual Design (Meeting #2)

  • General design concept options* in the form of (but not limited to):
    • a scaled preliminary floor plan
    • scaled preliminary elevations of the designated space
    • a 3D sketch of the space

All work produced will be provided in hard copy to the winner as a package [4]

[1] The room or space must be for a residence. The prize cannot be applied to a commercial space. The Sponsor reserves the right to impose square footage restrictions.

[2] Sessions will take place at V6B’s Head Office in Vancouver. Consultations at the winner’s home are not permitted.

[3] Access is granted for the duration of the design service.

[4] The winner is not obligated to purchase V6B product or continue the design process further than Phase 2. Changes and/or alterations to the design concept will not be made after Phase 2 is complete unless an agreement is made between the winner and the Sponsor. If the winner decides to continue the design process with the Sponsor, a new agreement will be discussed and provided.

Selection of Winner

At the conclusion of the Giveaway Period, the Sponsor will select the winner in a random drawing of all eligible entries. The draw will take place at 10:00 AM PST on January 2nd, 2013. The odds of being selected as the winner depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.

The winner will be notified by email or phone within ten (10) days after the Entry Deadline. The winner must respond within seven (7) days to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within the required timeframe, the Sponsor may select an alternate winner at random from all entries received during the Giveaway Period.

The winner will be asked to sign a standard release form granting the Sponsor the right to publish his/her name and a recent photograph without any claim for broadcasting, printing, royalty or other rights. If the winner fails to sign and return the release form, an alternate winner will be selected at random from all entries received during the Giveaway Period.

Restrictions

The prize transferable. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The winner is responsible for any costs and expenses associated with receipt or use of the prize that are not specifically stated herein. These include without limitation potential transportation, accommodation, and meal costs.

The prize must be used by April 30, 2013. If the winner cannot use the prize by April 30, 2013, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
