V6B-BINOVA at Eurocucina 2012

Filed Under: Binova, Design Details, Events, Kitchens, V6B Product Features April 30, 2012

Quality is the distinctive feature of BINOVA at Eurocucina 2012; “We’ve just come back from a trip to Eurocucina to see what’s going on there, and in the kitchen, we’re really seeing innovative design products, a reworking of existing products and continual research into technologically advanced materials.” explains Earl Lawson, designer and owner of V6B Design Group.

For a company who scored five selections for the ADI Golden Compass in 2010 (the highest honor in the industrial design circle in Italy), BINOVA continues to exceed expectations in their product lines and in the type of materials used. Have a look at the video of the featured product. And if you like what you see, our showroom in Vancouver has lots more.

EUROCUCINA 2012 was this years Furniture & Furnishings trade show held in Fiera Milano Nuovo Polo, Milan, Italy. The trade show exhibits new products, technology and trends in this industry. BINOVA presented two distinct products at the show:

The ANIMA kitchen is a dynamic, 21st century idea, made real. The large island core contains a motorized accessory in the cabinet that can be lifted up, revealing all your prep utensils, cooking devices and pantry ingredients, as if it were a blacksmith’s or carpenter’s bench.

Technology contains technology, thus losing its purely stage value, creating a stronger relation with the adjacent area of the kitchen. The double-sided integrated cabinet can house, within a single space, not only kitchen utensils but also elements used in living areas such as computer and TV monitors, media readers and a mobile bar. The vertical handle has been incorporated into the door depth highlighting the 45° angle of the joint between the top and the door. The big worktop is again a continuous, functional strip creating a large working area.

The ARCHIVIA kitchen – clean and essential lines for large cabinets, to contain big spaces. Its name originates from the concept of archiving, i.e. storing food, kitchenware as well as utensils for your everyday use. ARCHIVIA privileges the concept of large store cupboards, and features an integrated door handle and worktop design, at a 35° angle for an easy hold and door opening.

Its worktop, with its pyramid-shaped edges, is available in a wide variety of materials like marble, stainless steel, corian and more. Its doors, in high gloss or matt finish, and the either occasional or prevailing presence of natural wood, as well as the colour contrasts or variations in matching tones, delineate its overall spirit, both sophisticated and pure, rich and stringent at the same time.

The large surfaces of the worktops (76 cm deep) provides a nice expansive spaces to cook your food. ARCHIVA is a deep yet light design product for a large and functional storage system.
